Four Oaks Manor brings back the charm that existed in rural areas north of Atlanta one hundred years ago. The house was built on a four hundred acre farm near Buford, Georgia in 1920 by Reverend John Crane, a preacher who called everyone "Honey." Perhaps this represents his fondness for sweet things. The house, considered a mansion in its day, was complete with electric lights and a water well on the back porch. The wrap around porch, six fireplaces, and large rooms created a world of relaxation and comfort that will bring a smile to your face and instill in you a sense of the sweet life that Reverend Crane must have enjoyed..
Today, although only four acres remain of the original homestead, we are please to host events at Four Oaks Manor where you can enjoy the tree shaded areas and sunny open spaces created nearly one hundred years ago. Modern comforts have been added judiciously in an effort to preserve the qualities created when the house was built while providing the comforts required today.
Located in Buford, Georgia, we are in the metro-Atlanta area. However, the country charm preserved at Four Oaks Manor is normally only found in the mountains of North Georgia. Brides can have the charm they want with an outdoor wedding and reception without the long drive. We also host Rehearsal Dinners, Showers, Parties, and other events.
