5 Engagement Photo Session Locations in North Georgia!

One of the first things a couple does when they get engaged is schedule their engagement shoot. With so many great spots in the area, it can be hard to choose the perfect background, which is why I've narrowed down a short list of 5 locations in North Georgia that would be perfect for an engagement photoshoot for any couple!

1. Tallulah Gorge
This is a spot that won’t disappoint. I have been hiking here several times, and love every time I am able to go. From a hikers point of view it is not a bad hike. Being able to hike with beautiful views is something you can’t complain about. That is why I chose it as the number one engagement session location in North Georgia. I speak from experience when I say they have beautiful waterfalls, a long gorgeous suspension bridge, and stairs that lead you to it all. There are several picture perfect spots at this location that make it the ideal location for your engagement photo session.

2. Amicalola Falls
This is another spot that I have hiked several times. The reason I chose it as an engagement session location is because you do not have to hike if you do not want to. If you want to take some gorgeous photos at the bottom of the waterfall and not walk all the steps, then you are able to do so. However, if you want more close up photos to the waterfall then you might want to just hike the steps. Honestly, the steps are not that bad and once you see those amazing pictures, you will be thankful that you did. The waterfall is one of the prettiest in North Georgia, so what better location then for your engagement session then in front of a gorgeous waterfall.

3. Four Oaks Manor Event Venue
I may be a little biased with this location, but how could I not include our gorgeous gardens in the mix of the perfect locations for your engagement session. The stone pathways, beautiful landscaping, and rustic feel of the farmhouse makes it the perfect location to get many different types of photos in one prime location. 4. The City of Dahlonega
This place is stunning. Dahlonega has many locations that will fit what you are looking for. They have wineries and vineyards, a downtown charm, and beautiful mountains. Anywhere you go in Dahlonega will have beautiful landscaping for you engagement session photos. You really can’t go wrong with this city. You could even make a fun day out of it. Go get your pictures taken, go exploring, and get some good food, hiking, or anything else that may catch your interest while there. Some of the scenic areas include Yahoola Valley, Turners Corner, and Suches Valley. Some of the waterfalls include Cane Creek Falls, Dicks Creek Falls, DeSota Falls, and Helton Creek Falls. Check those places out online to see if they would be a spot you would like your pictures to be taken at.

5. Chateau Elan
Chateau Elan has several great aspects to having your pictures taken there. They have gorgeous landscaping, architecture, and vineyards to have a variety of beautiful pictures at the end of your session. Check out this engagement session done by Joshua Grasso Photography. As you can see from the pictures, there are a variety of different shots you can get at this location. Maybe even enjoy their winery or spa after your photo session is over.
