Sometimes, getting ready is the most stressful part of your wedding day. That’s why at Four Oaks, we let our couples have access to the venue prior to their ceremony. Keep reading to learn more about getting ready at Four Oaks Manor and to hear some helpful getting-ready tips!
As part of what Four Oaks Manor offers, couples and their wedding parties are given access to our getting-ready suites four hours prior to their wedding (with a standard wedding package). Most brides arrive early and have their hair and makeup done in our bridal suite. They often use the time before the ceremony to get their pre-wedding photos finished.

Getting ready at the venue rather than another location eliminates extra decisions that need to be made. For example, if you’re getting ready at the venue rather than another location such as a hotel or Airbnb, then you don’t have to worry about transportation between several locations.

We also believe that it makes the morning of your wedding less stressful. Being at the venue hours before your ceremony allows you to relax and enjoy the moments leading up to “I Do.” You and your wedding party get to relax, drink mimosas, and take fun candid photos while getting ready.

Our farmhouse has two main getting ready locations: our bridal suite and groom’s room.
The Bridal Suite
The bridal suite encompasses the entire upstairs of the farmhouse. The three rooms include a bridal bathroom with lots of mirrors perfect for doing hair and makeup, a bridal bedroom with great natural light for photos, and another getting ready area with space for your wedding party to spread out.
The Groom's Room
The men have the entire downstairs to hang out prior to the ceremony, but the groom’s room is the main spot the guys tend to congregate. With plenty of seating, a spacious bathroom, and even a TV, this room is perfect for the guys to relax before the ceremony begins.
Getting Ready Day Tips:
  • Pack your bags the night before. This will help make the morning of your wedding easier.
  • Assign who’s bringing what and taking what back after the wedding. This ensures nothing will be left behind.
  • Keep the room tidy as you go (or designate certain spots for clutter). Not only does this make cleaning up at the end of the day easier, but it will also help the photographer keep clutter out of your pictures.
  • Pack drinks, snacks and paper products so you stay hydrated and don’t become hangry.
  • Make sure your photographer has a timeline and shot list. This will help them keep you on track.
