Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back. Temperatures are dropping (okay, not really, but we can dream!). Hobby Lobby has released its fall and Halloween decorations. Fall is just about here! There’s no better event season than fall, so let's get in the spirit with some fall party inspiration! Food & Drink Half of the excitement surrounding fall is the food and drinks, so of course we had to start with fun, autumnal bar setups! Bars are great additions to any party. Plus, you can get festive with both the menu and the decorations! There are few things that get us in the spirit for cooler weather than s’mores. Whether you’re roasting marshmallows over a fire pit, a candle, or your kitchen stove, get ready for fall with a s’mores bar! (Tip: If you’ve never had s’mores with a Reese’s cup, you’re missing out! Vary up your chocolate options and automatically create a more personalized experience for your guests.) Another great option is a pie bar. Blueberry, blackberry, pecan, pumpkin, whatever you want! Place the pies on stands at various heights and add some wood slices, autumnal greenery, and maybe a few pumpkins to tie the fall look all together! Switch up the hot chocolate bar for an apple cider bar and a lemonade station for pumpkin punch! Keep the decorations simple with hay, apple barrels, and berries. Pumpkins It wouldn’t be fall without pumpkins. But if we’re honest, sometimes pumpkins can get repetitive. That’s why we love these fresh ideas on how to incorporate pumpkins into your party decor! Use mini pumpkins to make place cards, whether for seating arrangements or to help everyone know what every dish is. Have lanterns lying around? Instead of filling them with candles, pile them full of pumpkins! This look is extra fun if you play around with sizes, colors and textures! These lanterns can be great centerpieces, entryway decor, or great for a photo booth station. Charcuterie boards are the perfect party appetizer. Add a little twist to your board by throwing some mini pumpkins in the layout! Or if you’re feeling extra snazzy, get a pumpkin-shaped cheese board! You can even include pumpkins in your party tablescapes. Whether you keep it simple with just a mini pumpkin on each plate, or you go all out by incorporating pumpkins throughout the entire table, have fun with this trend! Tablescapes Speaking of tablescapes, there are so many directions you can go! One of my favorite parts about fall is you’re not just stuck with one look or vibe. If you’re not into bright fall leaves or statement pumpkins, go a more neutral route with wood slices, acorns, and small, neutral accent pumpkins. Spruce it up with some dried eucalyptus and candlesticks and bam, you have a beautifully decorated table. For those who treasure fall for its leaves, consider tying all your favorite elements into a place setting. Keep the base layers neutral with straw placemats, burlap chargers, and simple white plates. Then add in some fall color with mustard napkins tied in the middle and decorated with fall foliage and acorns. If you’re into anything and everything fall, throw it all together! There are ways you can incorporate plaid prints, pumpkins, and fall flowers together. Mix neutral elements with vibrant pieces to keep balance, and have fun experimenting! On the boho side of things, throw some pampas grass in amber vases and you have a stunning yet simple tablescape. Make sure to vary vase heights and different textures to add some extra flair!
