Soft Rustic Table Decor (+Tablescape Decorating Tips)

It’s time for rustic to get a revamp! As much as we love the rustic trend, we wanted to see if we could add a soft and dainty twist to it. We hope this soft, rustic farmhouse tablescape gives your inspiration for your own wedding!
We started by adding a matte blush runner to one of our farmhouse tables. This runner adds a soft touch of color to an overall neutral tablescape.

We especially love this blush runner because it takes classes up the rustic theme, which can often become a little too rustic if you know what we mean.

Plus, the soft blush against the dark finish on our farmhouse table deserves all the heart eyes.

Four Oaks Tip: Add contrasting textures or colors to your tablescape to give it more dimension.

For centerpieces, we decided to fill large mason jars with softer florals including baby’s breath and white mums.

It wouldn’t be a rustic look without some wood. We placed the floral jars on thick wood slices and scattered them down the center of the table.

The chunkiness of these wood slices add height to the centerpieces. We chose chunky wood slices over thinner ones because we really wanted them to stand out.

Four Oaks Tip: Think about height when putting together tablescapes. Varying heights add dimension to your look.
To tie each wood slice together, we decided to weave some lambs ear greenery in between each centerpiece.

We used faux lambs greenery garlands because they have good length and are flexible enough to shape down a table. To create a fuller look, we wrapped strands of garland around each other.

We had some baby’s breath leftover and we can’t just do nothing with extra flowers! We decided to add it to the lambs ear, giving the greenery extra freshness.

Four Oaks Tip: Adding extra florals to greenery is a huge design love of ours. It always takes a wedding tablescape to the next level.

While going through our decorations, we found these adorable mini watering cans, so of course we had to use them!

We scattered them down the center of the tables. These watering cans add another rustic element to the tablescape without overdoing it.

Four Oaks Tip: Adding small decorative trinkets to tablescapes can really vamp up any look!

We also popped some extra mums and baby's breath in the watering cans to tie them nicely with the rest of the tablescape.

Once we finished with the centerpiece, we moved on to place settings. We wanted to keep this simple so it would tie in nicely with the soft rustic look we were aiming for. We chose our distressed ivory chargers, which have just enough of a rustic look to them. To finish the place settings, we placed white napkins and silverware on top of each charger.
We absolutely love how this look turned out. This soft rustic tablescape would be perfect for a spring wedding! Let us know in the comments what your favorite part of this tablescape is.
