Planning ahead is the most important thing to do when it comes to a wedding. Whether that be getting a head start on your vendors, your meal choices, or your day of preparation; you can never be too prepared. Below is a compiled list of the things you might need on the day of your wedding. This is your wedding day emergency kit guide.

1. Bobby Pins
Even though you will most likely have a hair and makeup person come in and do all the heavy lifting, you will still want to be prepared with bobby pins for later in the evening when your hair decides to have a mind of its own.

2. Safety Pins/Needle and thread
You never know what is going to tear or rip. Having something to easily fix those little snags will be a life saver.

3. Hairspray
You never know who will have hairspray in the middle of the evening when you need a little extra hold, so make sure to bring your own.

4. Band-Aids
Most venues should have a first-aid kit, but if not come prepared. Band-Aids, alcohol wipes, gauze, disposable gloves, etc. You want to make sure you have all the first aid essentials for any accidents that may occur.

5. Tide Togo stick (stain remover)
For those pesty stains that may arise after dinner, have a shout stick in your emergency kit to quickly freshen up.

6. Tissues
Have several packages of tissues for anyone who needs them throughout the morning or into the ceremony. Tears are bound to happen so come prepared for that. I have seen weddings where they set up a basket at the ceremony area with little packages of tissues for people to grab as they sit. They will have a chalkboard sign next to the basket that says, “For crying out loud.” This is a cute way to provide tissues for your emotional family members.

7. Ibuprofen
Just in case a headache comes along. Remember to stay hydrated because that will most likely be the cause of a headache, but have ibuprofen on hand in case that headache is persistent.

8. Makeup Essentials
Any makeup essentials that you will need to have on hand if something gets smeared. Mascara, lipstick, foundation. You never know.

9. Deodorant
This is always the last item I remember to bring. Make sure to have this ready in case nervous sweating makes itself known.

10. Tampons
You never know who will need one. Just grab a small box to add to this kit.

11. Water Bottles/Snacks
Like stated before, it is extremely important to stay hydrated and fed. No one wants a hangry bride or bridesmaid. Munch on some snacks while you are getting ready.
