While we understand brides’ concerns about whether they should hire a videographer, we’re here to tell you that they absolutely are worth the investment!

Not hiring a videographer is one of the most common regrets brides have. In fact, if there is one that brides wished they actually spent more on, it would be a videographer. There’s something special about being able to relive your wedding day through moving images rather than just photos.

A videographer can bring a whole new perspective to your wedding day. While photographers do incredible work capturing still moments, adding a videographer brings a whole new creative element to your wedding. Since the photographer and videographer work closely together, they’re able to bounce off each other, come up with new ideas, and capture your wedding day even more beautifully than they might be able to on their own.

One edge that videography has over photography is sound. A videographer can capture exactly what you said in your vows, what jokes your best man or maid of honor made in their toasts, or what the letters you read while getting ready said. Video can capture joyful laughter, cheers to your first kiss, the song of your first dance, and the sounds of the dance floor as your guests party the night away.

Videographers can also capture special moments throughout the day. A few years back, Four Oaks had a fake first look between the groom and the best man. While the groom was waiting for his bride, his best man snuck up behind him in a wedding dress. Needless to say, it was a great surprise! The couple had a photographer take photos of the fake first look, but they also had a videographer capture the hilarious moment, allowing the couple to go back and laugh at the memory for years to come!
