Now that fall is officially here, we decided to pull out our fall decorations and play around with decorating our farmhouse tables. We love how the fall style has evolved over the years and how many directions you can go with it. For our table design, we decided to take a modern, greenery-filled route. Keep reading to see how our modern fall farm tablescape came together, and get inspired for your own fall wedding or party! To start, we decided to skip adding a runner and instead ran seeded eucalyptus across the middle. We entwined several strands of fake eucalyptus together to create a fuller, lush look. We knew we wanted to add pumpkins, but we also didn’t want this to be a full-on pumpkin look. We opted for mixing husk-textured pumpkins into the greenery. The contrast between the green of the eucalyptus and the soft, rustic orange of the pumpkins adds another dimension to the tablescape. To pull in more of the fall color palette, we added pops of burnt orange berry clusters to the greenery. We also added daisies and white mums to the greenery to add extra freshness and more depth to the overall look. Finishing off the centerpiece, we placed a few chunky candles in clear hurricane glasses to add a touch of elegance to the tablescape. Adding the candles takes the tablescape from a fall party table to a wedding-fit head table in a matter of seconds. For place settings, we settled on using these cream ceramic chargers. Sometimes simple is all you need. We then placed tan napkins tied in a knot on the top right side of the charger. Whenever you’re decorating a table, test out different placement of items, and see how where you place things transforms an entire look. To finish up the place settings, we added gold flatware to both sides of the charger. The gold achieved a similar purpose as the candles by elevating the entire tablescape. It pulls in all the modern elements together nicely and contrasts well against the dark finish of our farmhouse table. We also found this cute mini pumpkin in the midst of our fall decorations, which we sought to incorporate right away. This little fellow would make a sweet place card and looks so cute on our ceramic chargers. All we can say is we’re obsessed with this modern fall tablescape! Fall is extra special at Four Oaks.
