Built back in 1920, Four Oaks Manor has stood in Buford, GA for 100 years. The house was built on a large farm of over 400 acres. While the surrounding area has developed, Four Oaks holds onto its original charm with its wrap around porch, six fireplaces, and comfortable rooms. Over the years, Four Oaks Manor has hosted hundreds of weddings and events, filling its halls and gardens with countless memories.
In honor of the farmhouse’s 100th birthday, we’ve decided to show you some of our favorite parts of the house and share what makes it so special. Chef Craig’s experience and knowledge of cuisine has made him our primary caterer for all our weddings and events. He began working in the restaurant industry over 40 years ago and he considers it his passion. He is classically trained and is a graduate of Johnson and Wales Culinary Arts. He also attended Hilton School of Hotel and restaurant Management at the University of Houston.
He has worked in Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia which has given him experience with a wide range of all different cuisines. He has created Classical, Cajun, Mexican, Italian, and German dishes, along with American and BBQ. He enjoys experimenting with new dishes and creating cuisine that is pleasing to the taste buds. One of our beloved vendors that we have been working with for many years is Laurens Floral Art. Their relationship with Four Oaks Manor began with the friendship built with our previous owner Randy West. Before Four Oaks Manor became a wedding venue, Randy had discussed his ideas with Karen and Laurens, Laurens Floral Art owners. They talked about how they could benefit from each other within the business realm and their relationship (friendship and business) has continued to this day.
